It was wonderful to see so many happy faces and hugs shared on Friday the 30th of August as the community of Our Lady of Mount Carmel gathered to honour the fathers, grandfathers and father figures with a delicious breakfast and heart-warming mass. Catholic Education Diocese of Parramatta (CEDP) teachers were given the chance to see how the Positive Behaviour Support for Learning (PBS4L) framework is making a difference at Holy Cross Primary Glenwood. The school hosted up to 120 CEDP teachers and staff along with the Executive Director Greg Whitby and Director of Learning Sue Walsh, as they shared their PBS4L journey so far. Read more...

On Monday the 8th of April OLMC celebrated God Day to help us prepare for the great feast of Easter. Each class, the teachers and a group of parents broke open a Scripture passage, created a visual representation of the story and wrote a reflection about the passage. On Thursday Week 11 students and parents will have time to walk prayerfully around our spaces to reflect on the Easter stations.

What a lovely way to start off the school year with parents, teachers and children coming together for the annual OLMC Welcome Picnic on Friday 15th February. It was a pleasure to spend time with families and have the chance to catch up for a chat over a delicious meal. Thank you to the Parent and Friends Association for coordinating this event and all the parents who helped make it such a success.

On Wednesday 6th February, Year 6 set off to go to Camp Collaroy for two nights and three days. Camp Collaroy is a huge property, on Sydney’s Northern beaches that is used for school camps. This property is set close to Collaroy beach, which meant we could do some really fun activities there. Read more...
